Their Sales Organization is in search of a Regional VP of Sales for Enterprise Accounts to lead, develop, and coach sales account executives who are managing the top 200 financial institutions in the US. They are seeking for a professional sales leader (RVP of Sales) who can be an expert in the financial industry, ambitious, inspiring, and has a strong work ethic in order to build and lead a team in the U.S. market, reporting to the Executive Vice President of Sales.  This candidate will have a strong emphasis on business development, and will be responsible for leveraging the company’s strengths in understanding and improving our client’s businesses. In conjunction with the day to day account executives, and through in-depth discussions and analysis of a client’s business and their needs, you will identify opportunities for the company’s products and services, and play a significant role in growing the business. This sales team will be structured across 6 account executives, all of whom will report to you if you are selected.  This position is responsible for driving several million dollars in new sales through multi-year agreements.
What you’ll do:  
  • Lead, develop, and coach the Named Account Executives who sell into the top 20 financial institutions
  • Execute against targets for an assigned territory by hiring and managing elite account executives
  • Successfully manage account executives through ramping, training, and day-to-day activities--ultimately driving continual progress for each individual on your team. 
  • Act as an industry expert with deep domain knowledge of products and services and their application to banking clients and other related organizations
  • Collaborate with Sales Excellence to design and implement programs for rep on-boarding, training, process design, and performance improvement
  • Be accountable for accurate forecasting, clear communication to your team and to leadership, and successfully managing CRM activities and reports for your team
  • Manage a 6 person team, providing both motivation and mentorship for all team members
  • Create, cultivate and reward a culture of innovation, objectivity, purposeful contribution, and founder mindset within organization
  • Create strategic plans to generate a strong pipeline, while meeting and exceeding sales targets 
  • Build and maintain business and executive relationships with prospects, clients, and partners
  • Collaborate well with other departments to promote customer needs and create viable solutions
  • Collaborate, develop, and lead strategies to win complex and large accounts
  • Successfully create and manage with each account executive a short-, mid- and long-term strategic sales plan to ensure growth is in line with business objectives
  • Provide timely feedback to sales peers, sales leadership, product management and marketing on developing industry trends, new product ideas, and competitive intelligence
  • Review, monitor, and approve monthly expenses to budget
  • Work closely with the Executive Vice President of Sales and Director of Sales Operations in compiling sales reports, marketing/customer trends, and competitor information for Senior Executive Reviews
     
How you'll do it:
  • Manage and lead your team by exercising the company values 
  • Meeting with prospects and customers to discover and understand the root cause of their challenges
  • Articulating the company’s value proposition, insights, and engage customers in jointly addressing business priorities and objectives that align with their business needs and timelines
  • Quickly understanding the customer’s decision-making process 
  • Assisting with planning and delivery of effective client presentations and product demos
  • Driving urgency and motivation for the client to meet their buying timeline
  • Supporting, assisting, and driving strategy and process for the Account Executives to close deals
  • Finding ways to shorten the sales cycle and accelerate deal progression
  • Using their CRM and reporting tools to make sound, data-driven decisions
  • Conducting effective weekly one-on-ones with each account executive for a sound understanding of each client and opportunity
  • Leading quarterly and annual strategic planning sessions for accounts and onsite meetings
  • Holding each Account Executive accountable to deliver and exceed committed results

What you’ll need to be successful:
  • 7+ years of sales experience in a Business-to-Business (B2B) environment, with a minimum of 5 years in sales leadership positions
  • Solid understanding and experience selling into top financial institutions
  • A successful track record of building a high performing sales team for complex, solution selling
  • A successful track record selling a net-new solution in a complex sales environment
  • Prior success calling on executives in a highly competitive market
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, problem solving, analytical, and solution selling skills
  • The ability to learn and process information quickly
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Rigorous application of process and procedure including adoption of Salesforce tool
  • The ability to coordinate and secure buy-in from internal stakeholders
  • A deep hunger to succeed and achieve new milestones
  • A proficiency in the Challenger Sale model
  • Ability to travel 40+% of the time
  • Understanding of channel partnerships and strategic relationships
  • Strong team player with a capacity to inspire others
  • Experience and success with multi-year contracts exceeding $1M ARR is a plus
